Origin: Houston has a long history with programs supporting youth in recovery, including the first Alternative Peer Group, which opened in the 1970s at Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church. Archway Academy was established in 2003 by local Houston residents and addiction recovery experts. Archway opened its doors in January 2004. (1)
